USS Enterprise Model Build – Part 3 – Painting the hull

A lof of information on how to best approach this model build I got from a very helpful guy in the UK. He has his own website at http://www.makingmodels.co.uk

His site has a lot of helpful information about building model kits in genreal and from his suggestions regarding this USS Enteprise build I decided to go ahead and paint the outside of the model now and maybe fix up some spots at the very end after everything is done.

You can find a ton of information on what the correct color of the USS Enterprise should be. In the end I went with a mix that I liked most – regardless of what everybody else is saying : )

There are hundreds of webpages about the correct hull color for the USS Enterprise

I filled one of the small bottles that came with the airbrush set all the way up to ensure that I had enough paint for all the pieces even if I had to go back and fix things later. I used the proposed color mix from the instructions but added a little bit more white in the end as I did not want the exterior to be too grey.
