Accessories for my new Model X

I ordered my new refreshed Model X in June 2021 and even though I don’t even have a delivery date yet, I have started to collect some nice accessories for it.

Here is a list of things I am planning to get for the new Model X:

  • USB Hub with usb-c and usb-a outlets. – Check
  • Black rear SpaceX logo – Check
  • Black aluminum valve caps – Check
  • Plasti dip for front logo – Check
  • SSD Drive for your glove box – Check
  • Illuminated door sill lights from Tesla – not available yet
  • Tesla Logo floor mats for front middle and rear areas – in the works, not ordered yet

Here is a list of the accessories I have received so far:

USB Hub for Model X center console

I first found this hub on the Tparts website, but ended up ordering the hub from Wish for 38 USD as the shipping to europe was cheaper. It turned out to be exactly the same as shown on the Tparts website, it even has the Tparts logo on it. I installed it on the day I picked up my new Model X and used some USB sticks to run different lightshows from them. Everything worked just fine.

Black SpaceX rear logo

I am planning to remove the standard “Model X” logo and to replace it with a nice black SpaceX logo, which I got from Abstract Ocean for 20 USD. Link to the item on Abstract Ocean online shop.  I received the logo in a sturdy packaging and it looks great. I comes in a nice cut-out frame which you can use to apply the logo as one piece with the correct spacing.

Black aluminum valve caps

I had these also on my Model S as part of a center wheel cap set I got years ago and now I just ordered the valves for 4 USD. Here’s the link to the item: Aluminum valve caps. I just received them last week and they look just fine.

Black plasti dip

I plan to paint the front tesla logo black so that it matches the spaceX logo. Just google for black matte pasti dip. There are a ton of videos on youtube that show you how to do this. Seems to be quite easy to do.

SSD Drive for the glove box

In order to have some more space for Music, Dashcam footage and maybe other stuff that might be added in the future, I got a Samsung 500GB T7 SSD drive. I found some tutorials online that show you how to partition this drive so that you can have separate partitions for your Music, Dashcam, Boombox as well as Lightshow content. Here is the link to one of the tutorials I used: How to partition your SSD Drive for Tesla
