SUBNAUTICA – Game review
Subnautica was available for free for a limited time in the Epic Games store so I went ahead and tried it out. I ended up playing it for about an hour even though I only wanted to have a quick look.
I found the game to be very addictive as it throws you into this situation where you are stuck on your lifepod in the ocean of this alien planet and your first goal is to not die within the first hour. From finding food and drink to realizing that you will have to build a base to survive and finding out which substances you need to find in order to build your base is a nice challenge.
Subnautica also features many scary creatures some of which can easily kill you:
Having played this game for hours and hours and like it a lot. The main reasons are:
- Great graphics that can be adjusted so that the game runs smoothly on my 5K iMac
- Great ambient music and sounds that make the whole affair quite creepy
- Does just offer enough story line to keep you guessing what you’re supposed to do next
- Building your base is a lot of fun.
