ILLUMINATED DOOR SILL PLATES

Probably the last of my Tesla Model S modifications are the illuminated door sills. I found them on the teslamotorsclub.com website from a nice gentleman called Norman Roberts.

At first I was not sure if I was ready to rip out the whole door sill assembly but Normans instructions where very straight forward and so ahead I went:

Tools and stuff prepared and ready to go !
Door sill assembly removed

Removing the door sill assembly was really easy. Just used a screwdriver to carefully pry the plastic and the whole thing just popped off.

Unfortunately the original aluminum plate was bent / destroyed during the process….

Installing the new plates was a piece of cake. They fit perfectly and attaching them to the power leads inside the car was also easily done. The whole thing took me about 2 hours total.
