FINALLY AFTER ALMOST 9 MONTHS MY MODEL S ARRIVED !
On June 11th I was finally able to pick up my new Model S 85D at the Tesla Service Center in Möhlin, Switzerland. My wife accompanied me and also went through the instructions together which took about an hour.
The car was standing in its own little booth and had a nice red ribbon attached to the windshield : )
Our “delivery specialist” went through all the things that I was expecting, having already watched many Model S delivery videos online as well as the official walkthrough.
I was surprised that this “specialist” was not as knowledgeable as I would have expected. He seemed unsure on several topics and had to go and ask his colleagues in the service center. I did get all my questions answered, but I just would have expected this specialist to know his stuff in and out.
On a couple of delivery videos in the US I saw that people got special Tesla Owners hats. We did not get those. They did promise us some leather key fobs would arrive in the mail in the coming days.
There was a big company event (where people could test drive the Model S) going on outside of the service center and we generated a nice crowd when we finally drove out of the service center in our brand new blue Model S.
