PAINTED RED BRAKE CALIPERS WITH LOGOS

I’ve always loved the look of red brake calipers and finally went ahead and had mine painted as well. I ordered a based brake caliper paint set on amazon from a company called Foliatec. I chose the red matte version.

My local garage then used that set to paint the calipers red. However, the existing Tesla Logos were to small to mask so we decided to just paint over them and I would add some decals later. This is how it looked after painting:

Even without the Tesla logos it already looked very good. So now I had to find the right set of decals for the calipers. I found them online here: http://www.brakecaliperdecals.co.uk/Tesla-Brake-Decals-Stickers

They were only 7.50 UK pounds per set and I ordered a silver and black set as I was not sure which color I’d end up using. Each set comes with an extra decal, so that you’re safe if you mess something up.

So off I went to the garage again to lift up the car in order to add the decals.

Up and up she goes….
The decals come on a clear sheet which makes it very easy to apply them. You can still see the clear sheet on top of the decals here.
Here’s the final look with the clear sheet removed. I went with the silver instead of the black look.

So as I mentioned in the captions, it was very easy to apply the decals. We then applied a thin film of clear coat on top of the decals to ensure that they are better protected from the elements. And so now here’s the final product:
